报告人简介：许宾，现为四川大学数学学院副教授，于中国科学院数学与系统研究院取得博士学位，曾在北京大学北京国际数学研究中心从事博士后研究工作，主要研究方向为自守表示理论及其算术应用。

报告摘要：L-function is a central object in the study of number theory. For example, it is related to the distribution of prime numbers, and also the arithmetic of elliptic curves, as indicated by the famous Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture. With the development of Langlands program, automorphic representation theory becomes an important tool of studying L-functions. In this talk, we will firstly give an introduction to L-functions, and then focus on some related topics in automorphic representation theory.
